Approach & Specialization

My work is integrative, meaning I don't believe one modality fits everyone. I draw from several evidence-based, relationally focused approaches and weave them together based on what each person, partners, or family actually needs. Here's a little about each one.

My Therapeutic Approaches

Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP)

AEDP focuses on creating transformative emotional experiences to promote healing and personal growth. This approach emphasizes the power of in-the-moment emotional processing, helping you develop a more secure sense of self, deepen your emotional connections, and create lasting positive change.

At the heart of AEDP is the belief that healing happens in connection. The relationship between therapist and client isn't just a backdrop to the work. It is the work.

AEDP Level 1 Trained

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS explores the mind's distinct parts, each holding its own unique thoughts, feelings, and perspectives. Rather than treating any part of you as a problem to be eliminated, IFS approaches every part with curiosity and compassion.

Through self-leadership, IFS supports the integration of these parts, fostering internal harmony, emotional resilience, and meaningful personal growth. Nothing about you needs to be fixed. Some things just need space and understanding.

IFS Level 1 Trained

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

EFT centers on understanding and transforming emotions to improve relationships and overall emotional well-being. By working with and validating emotions rather than bypassing them, EFT helps create healthier emotional responses, strengthen relationships, and cultivate a more balanced, connected, and fulfilling life.

Gottman Method

The Gottman Method is a research-based approach designed to help partners strengthen their relationships and navigate conflict effectively. Using evidence-based interventions, relationships are built on deeper friendship, emotional connection, and practical skills for managing conflict constructively and creating a lasting, satisfying partnership.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is a trauma-focused therapy that helps individuals process and heal from distressing or overwhelming experiences. Using guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, EMDR helps your brain process what got stuck, so those memories lose their charge and you can move forward with more ease
